It’s nice when five minutes of talking results in a bunch of money being donated to a worthy cause. It was my pleasure to go speak to the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood on April 6th and let them know of the work of the Community of Friends in Action, a local non-profit that helps day laborers and advocates for better immigration policy. The community was then generous enough to donate their weekly plate collection to help further our work.
