CLASP Américas Award Commended Titles of 2015

I just found out that THE SECRET SIDE OF EMPTY was named as one of the CLASP Américas Award Commended Titles of 2015.  CLASP stands for Consortium of Latin American Studies Programs.  Their Américas Award was established in 1993 to recognize authors of books either set in Latin America or deal with issues of Latin Americans in the U.S.  And this year they recognized my book!

It’s an awesome list of books, so I’m happy to be included!

The CLASP Américas Award is a well-respected list. It highlights books that represent Latin Americans in the U.S. or that deal with Latin America. Here’s what people are saying about THE SECRET SIDE OF EMPTY. Learn why it continues to be used in schools and libraries to humanize the plight of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Find more information on the”What People Are Saying” portion of this site.
