ALA’s annual conference is the best!! Imagine being in a wonderland of all the new books coming out, with tons of your favorite authors there live and in person, and everyone talking about books and how to get them into the hands of people. (This fantasy only appeals to you if you’re a hopeless book worm like me and the fabulous thousands who are here).
I got to sign my gorgeous new paperbacks and meet so many wonderful folks. Then, later, the International Latino Book Awards gala (I remain a “finalist,” but if I had to lose in my category, it was okay to lose to the critically acclaimed I Lived on Butterfly Hill). Then on to an hours-long dinner with my cool crew at Running Press. I could talk books with those guys forever. Best weekend ever!!
