It’s been years and eons of sitting at the computer and the phone and now it’s done… this marks my 1,000th post! If you’ve noticed that I’ve stepped up the pace of publication in the last weeks, that’s why. I was eager to get to this milestone.
Those of you who are regular readers know I treat this blog as something of a diary. It’s better than a diary, because it elicits your emails and feedback. You’ve been with me through my publishing adventure, you’ve listened to me muse and be sad and, hopefully, mostly happy. I cherish every last one of you.
To hold your attention for even a moment here and there is a great honor. I have tried to be entertaining, informative, honest and engaging. Sometimes I’ve fallen short, no doubt. But if you’re reading this, maybe sometimes I’ve hit the mark, and that is one of the great joys of my life. Thank you so very much.
I’ve covered a lot of ground in 1,000 posts. I’ve shared wins and news. Other times I’ve “phoned it in” and uploaded a cartoon as the day’s post. Sometimes I’ve blurted out heartbreaks in the middle of the night, then reconsidered in the morning and made the post private. (Sometimes, they’ve been even too private to make it out of “private.” If you could only see my unpublished folder!). But all the while I’ve striven to be as straight-forward with you as I know how. I hope I’ve made you laugh from time to time. I’ve hope I’ve said some things you’ve found of value. Having you here means the world to me. Thank you.
