It was my pleasure to be MC at the annual CoFiA fundraiser this past Friday. I was humbled to be among so many people doing such important work to improve the lives of immigrants in our community.
The Community of Friends in Action was the first group that helped me find my voice and tell my own immigration story. Through year after year of learning advocacy and organizing from them, I have gained a new appreciation about how everyone can make a difference in this world.
Their work continues to be crucial, especially in this shifting political climate. If you care about human rights and believe that immigrants and migrant workers should be treated with respect, then take a moment to make a small contribution to them.
