I had a great time at the first ever Maplewood South Orange Book Festival. I was fortunate enough to be on a panel called “Survival in the New World: The Immigrant Experience in Young Adult Fiction,” with
Marina Budhos and Sheba Karim. One of my favorite things about appearing at book festivals is learning from other writers. I am both fangirl and participant at once.
