Where to start? From the awesome leather chair that they set up for me on the stage of their amazing theater, to the great breakfast/reception they had ready for when I arrived to everything in between, I was really treated like royalty this morning at Union City High School.
Of course, the best part was meeting so many friendly, warm people. Teachers who grew up in Union City and remembered a lot of the same people and good times that I did. Amazing students who lined up so patiently and waited while I signed hundreds of books. Administrators that made this whole thing possible and took such good care of me. I loved every minute of it.
The only downside? The torrential rain made my hair into a puff of frizz. But it seems like the cameras were kind. Here are a few iPhone shots… I’ll post more professional-looking pictures that the UC students were nice enough to take just as soon as I get my copies.
