Yesterday I wrote about some icky feelings I’d been having. After doing that, I felt much better. It always works that way for me.
Today, a Facebook friend pasted a link to an article showing the health benefits of writing. People who write regularly (3-5x a week) have improved cardiovascular and liver health… their wounds even heal faster! So writing does more than just make your heart feel better… it makes your physically healthier too.
It’s not for everyone, I know. (In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if being made to write makes my son’s health significantly worse). But if you find any joy in writing, know that you are doing good things for your mind and your heart and body when you do it.
