It’s iris season! I want to post a gazillion pictures but I’ll spare you and post just a few (below). They’re so pretty and they’re popping up everywhere!
I am adding a new batch once it’s planting season again in August (but, in my defense, I’m really good about dividing the old ones and paying them forward). This year I think I’m going to add in a pink flower bed at the foot of my new apple tree. I already have about 10 new pink varieties of iris picked out (along with pink daffodils, etc.). Yes, I may have a bit of a flower problem.
I get my iris from Schreiners Iris Gardens, the best source I’ve found for healthy rhizomes. You can search for iris by color, bloom season, height and more. That website can entertain me for hours. I literally have a spreadsheet full of all the names and attributes of all the iris I’ve planted. Click here to be similarly hypnotized.
